Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter series of video games from the game developer Crytek . The series is published by Electronic Arts . The series revolves around the "nano suits," the technologically advanced armor made to improve physical strength, speed, defense, and to be invisible. The military must compete against hostile North Korean soldiers, heavily armed mercenaries, and a variety of technologically advanced aliens known as the Ceph, which millions of years ago on Earth came for unknown reasons, which recently awakened.

The entire version of the first part of Crysis , only for the PC was released on November 15, 2007 in Australia , and a day later in Europe and North America . Later in september 2008 an extension was issued by the first part called Crysis Warhead also just for the PC .

In March 2011 came the sequel to the first part, Crysis 2 . Publisher Electronic Arts wanted to do it completely differently when Crysis 2 from Crytek was in the making. The second part of the Crysis series therefore came to the consoles. This game have been sold in four months, three million copies.

On April 11, 2012 revealed EA that a third was in the making, Crysis 3 , which was released in February 2013.

The characters in the Crysis series have nano suits, which are robotic suits that are made to kill the aliens above. Maximum Armor provides protection in the nano-suit, making bullets, falling from a height and explosions are not likely to hurt you. Maximum Strength gives the nano suit wearer added strength to kick cars through the air. Maximum Speed lets you run extra hard. Also you can be invisible to the nano suit, this is called cloaking . In all these forces must run back your power meter, and must be recharged automatically thereafter until one of these forces can be reused.

The first two games, Crysis and Crysis Warhead , take place in 2020 in the fictional Lingshan islands in the Philippines . The soldiers of both games both belong to "Raptor Team", a US special forces operation that is sent to the island to investigate aggressive behavior by North Korea . The player uses different weapons, including traditional projectile weapons such as pistols, machine guns, rifles, and sniper rifles (all of which can be modified with scopes and silencers, the latter provides unprecedented shooting), but also explosives. In the first part and extending them to fight Raptor Team against North Korean troops and aliens.
